Shehbaz Sharif sends good wishes to COVID-19-stricken Joe Biden
To the Biden's struggling with Covid-19 - my best wishes for a full and speedy recovery
Now Biden is much sicker, and at the worst possible time for him as he starts to see his lead over Trump evaporate with election day looming.
Biden is vaccinated and boosted, White House says.
The illness has struck at a time when Biden is sagging in the polls versus Trump.
The announcement of the positive test for Biden came after Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, confirmed that an 81-year-old Democrat had a breakthrough case. The president of US, a Latino civil rights organization stated shortly beforehand that he would not deliver planned remarks because he had tested positive for Covid-19.
Jean-Pierre said he is vaccinated, boosted and experiencing mild symptoms.
Biden, boarding Air Force One to fly back from Las Vegas and the meeting with Grykshanka in Delaware, told pencils : "I'm fine. Oh I feel good." But he trudged up the stairs, gripping the railing and stopping midway up as well as just below the landing.
After the announcement from White House, Netanyahu 72 wishes Biden a swift recovery in post on social media as...
Shehbaz wrote in a post on X: "Wishing President Biden @POTUS fast and full recovery from COVID. Good wishes."
Shehbaz's tweet comes days after he had condemned the attack on former US president Donald Trump in his political rally at Pennsylvania, as well as some other prominent personalities including PPP-P President Asif Ali Zardari.
The illness hits Biden at a critical moment as he's been slipping behind Donald Trump in the handful of battleground states that are expected to determine the fall contest, with Trump participating this week in an unusually celebratory convention.
The White House said Biden was expected to leave Friday for a long weekend at his Delaware beach house. It was unknown how long the illness would sideline him from campaigning.
